FIRST OF ALL just want to thank you guys for such great content on YouTube, you were and are my inspiration for starting AP journey, even that my journey is not as I hoped not even close yo yours, as you will see, but anyways, thanks a lot, you are great!!!! Best regards and wishes to you both!!! I have red so many things about it - this mount, and even saw that you have started with it only the US version of it... And since I wanted to start my AP journey inspired by you, I wanted to go from my first cheap Altazimuth mount to EQ one... And since I saw your mount I wanted to have the same EQ6, eu version of yours... But since it arrived like one year and a half from now my frustrations started... Since it wasn't goto version, I have started to work on the electronic conversation to OnStep which I did and I bought OnStep OEM board made for it, also 0.9 steppers and those arrived... But, hardware-wise, firstly I purchased Rowan's belt kit and once it arrived I then realized that this EQ6 mount was so old that even grub screws for worm gears weren't implemented on it... So I machined it as well as I could... And then opened it completely and did the regressing, installed Rowan's belt kit, had some issues with it, but still machined those issues, and installed the onestep board and all was completed... DEC is ok, but still have issues with RA (gear meshing, backlashes... I think ISSUE is with grub screws not doing ao well I have used all possible solutions that I could find online believe me 😥...) Now I am stuck with it... Still didn't lose my hope, but patients are on the edge, and this amazing trip for AP that even did not yet start is frustrating me a lot 😥😭... If you would be in France you could help me I think... All in all, I just hope that I will manage to get it to work after all those investments and time, I was looking at Rowan's zero-backlash RA solution but that is way above my budget right now... I will upload here some pictures of what I have done so you can have a clue... Sorry for bothering you with my issues 😑
