Sorry, just saw this reply now. The holes in the new dovetail seem to be a different size, so none of the screws that fit into the scope will fit through the dovetail. Why are these things not standard??

I have another advantage for mirrorless cameras (as compared with DSLRs)--their live-view screens are infinitely better for achieving focus on distant stars than a DSLR, or at least I find that to be the case when comparing my 5DMkIV with my R5 (both Canon, of course).
